Tips from Kay Smith
Let’s give a chair upholstered in a solid fabric some pizazz! We can choose to welt the chair. Let’s contrast the welting in the leather for a textural difference. We can contrast with a different solid fabric, creating two colors on the chair. Let’s say we have an accent pattern pillow on a sofa in the same room, we could use the pattern fabric for the welt on the chair. The welt is mad on the bias and will give the same coloration as the pillow.
Let yourself have fun and experiment with bold colors! For less committment, start with just a throw pillow or blanket.
