Trends are not what is on a retail furniture store’s floor right now—it is in fact what will be coming on the floor in the following year.
Trends move in evolutionary not revolutionary cycles. The trends for 2011, 2012 and beyond all have their foundations in what is happening right now.There are 5 or 6 major trends set to dominate the home furnishings market in the next couple of years.
Urban Modern – This is a clean natural organic style featuring a somewhat dark and rich palette with lots of metal finishes.
Cultural Fusion – This eclectic and decorative style features bright vibrant colors, bold lines and ethnic inspired safari motifs that draw attention to the contrast between strong colors.
