Color Forecast for the Fall and Winter Season
Twice per year, the color authority at Pantone release their fashion color report inspired by runway trends that is invaluable to design lovers as a guide to the next six months. The Fall 2016 forecast starts with two shades of blue before detouring through inviting neutrals and several unexpected jewel tones.
“The desire for tranquility, strength, and optimism have inspired a Fall 2016 color palette that is led by the Blue family,” wrote Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, in the official forecast announcement. “Blue skies represent constancy as they are always above us. Grays give a feeling of stability, Red tones invite confidence and warmth, while the hot Pinkish Purples and Spicy Mustard Yellows suggest a touch of the exotic.”
Getting the Fall and Winter look is easy when you introduce accessories and accents in this season’s big colors.
Riverside and Airy Blue
